The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has made changes to the traffic rules:
- the movement of cyclists on the lane for route vehicles is allowed and this does not require an additional sign "for cyclists";
- the mandatory use of retroreflective elements is introduced for the timely detection of pedestrian road users by drivers.
MP Aleksey Goncharenko announced this in his Telegram channel.
"In order to develop cycling infrastructure and reduce injuries among cyclists, the project proposes to allow cyclists to move in a lane for route vehicles", - says the explanatory note to the draft resolution of the Cabinet.
To improve safety, taxi drivers and passengers, as well as driving instructors are now required to use seat belts. The only exceptions are drivers and passengers with disabilities, whose physiological characteristics make it impossible to use seat belts.
In addition, in order to increase the safety of pedestrians, they must use reflective elements on their clothes or vests with reflective elements in the dark.
One of the road signs will also change - 1.40 "End of the road with improved surface". In the new version, the road will be displayed horizontally on the sign, and the silhouette of a car will appear above it. The name of the mark will change to “Coverage change”.
