Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law on administrative responsibility for staying in public institutions and transport without protective equipment.

The document supplements Article 44-3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of Ukraine with part two, which provides for the imposition of a fine from 10 to 15 non-taxable minimum incomes of citizens for staying in public buildings, structures, public transport during quarantine without wearing personal protective equipment, including respirators or protective masks that cover the nose and mouth, in particular, made by ourselves.

The law aims to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among Ukrainian citizens. The document will help increase the social responsibility of citizens and protect their health and life, as well as reduce the number of cases of COVID-19 infection.

According to the Minister of Health, this law is "very necessary at this time when there is such an increase in COVID-19."
