The free mapping mobile application Google Maps from the American company Google will inform users about the number of detected cases of COVID-19 in the regions of 220 countries of the world, including Ukraine.
This was announced by the press service of Google in its official blog.
In particular, the COVID Info section will be included in Google Maps, by selecting which, the user will be able to see the average number of newly detected cases of COVID-19 over the last 7 days in the selected region, and will also be able to find out the general dynamics of the spread of coronavirus.

Google's press service said that the source of the data is the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as data from state and local authorities.
According to the message, the new functionality will be available to users of the Android and iOS mobile operating systems this week.
